The JCC Jayhawks Women's Soccer Team (1-3) hosted the Lazers of Onondaga Community College (3-3). The first half saw tough, physical play by both teams with neither team gaining an advantage as the teams ended the first period of play in a 0-0 tie. The second half saw the Jayhawks commit a penalty that resulted in a penalty kick. The penalty kick resulted in the Lazers scoring and taking a 1-0 lead over the Jayhawks.
After another half of tough defense by both teams, the Jayhawks found the net on a goal by #9 Tayler Morrison (Dundee) to tie the game 1-1. Both teams offenses tired under the hot sun and the game seem headed to overtime but then with less than 2 minutes to play, the Jayhawks committed another penalty with resulted again in a penalty kick. The Lazers took full advantage of the opportunity and scored a goal to take the 2-1 lead. With less than 2 minutes, the Jayhawks tried in vain to score but it was no use as the Lazers downed the Jayhawks 2-1. The Jayhawks defense was led by #0 Rebecca Butcher (South Dayton) who had 7 saves while facing 9 shots on goal.
