The JCC Jayhawks Women's Volleyball Team (28-5) traveled to Niagara County Community College to take place in Region III Division III playoff tournament as the #2 seed.  Their first opponent was the Lazers of Onondaga Community College (16-15).  The Jayhawks have not lost since early September and looked to keep their momentum and earn their 21st victory in a row.  The first set saw the Lazers keep close but the Jayhawks were the stronger team pulling away 25-16.  The second set was repeat of the first set with the Jayhawks winning 25-16.  The third set had the Lazers backed in a corner and they came out fighting, but the Jayhawks stayed the course and won 25-21 to win the match over the Lazers 3-0.  The Jayhawks were led by #9 SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown) 25 kills and 14 digs; #10 Madison Alexander (Jamestown) 8 kills and 5 digs;  #7 Miranda Gross (Little Valley) had 37 assists, 3 aces, and 3 digs; #2 Destiney Portlow (Olean) had 6 kills and 4 blocks; #4 Ashley Butman (Jamestown) had 12 digs; and #3 Kaitlyn Hoth (Cherry Creek) had 5 digs.

The Jayhawks (29-5) second opponent in the Region III playoff tournament was the Hornets of SUNY Broome Community College (23-10).  With hopes of keeping their win streak alive, the Jayhawks would have their hands filled with the evenly matched Hornets on paper.  The first set was close, but the Jayhawks prevailed 25-22.  The Second set had the Jayhawks catch fire as they dominated the Hornets 25-13.  The third set had the Hornets play like they had in the first half but the Jayhawks were able to stay aggressive and win the set 25-20, downing the Hornets to win the match 3-0  The Jayhawks were led by #9 SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown) who had 17 kills, 5 aces, and 10 digs; #10 Madison Alexander (Jamestown) had 9 kills and 16 digs; #2 Destiney Portlow (Olean) 7 kills; #7 Miranda Gross (Little Valley) had 33 assists and 8 digs; #4 Ashley Butman (Jamestown) had 18 digs; and #3 Kaitlyn Hoth (Cherry Creek) had 10 digs as the Jayhawks won their 22nd match in a row.

The Jayhawks (29-6) final opponent of the Region III playoff tournament was the Cannoneers of Jefferson Community College (28-9).  The Jayhawks looked to win their 23rd game in a row and move onto the finals in the process.  However, the Connoneers were no strangers to win streaks winning 23 of their first 25 games.  The Cannoneers beat the Jayhawks soundly in the first set to shock the Jayhawks 25-17.  In the second set, the Jayhawks played the Cannoneers closer but were unable to seal the victory as they lost the second set 25-20.  This marked only the first time in 10 matches the Jayhawks had lost one set, let alone two.  With momentum on their side, the Cannoneers were able to topple the Jayhawks 25-15, snapping the Jayhawks win streak and putting the Jayhawks chances at a national playoff bid in serious jeopardy.  The Jayhawks were led by #9 SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown) who had 13 kills, 3 aces, and 10 digs; #10 Madison Alexander (Jamestown) had 8 kills, 3 aces, and 7 digs; #2 Destiney Portlow (Olean) had 6 kills; #7 Miranda Gross (Little Valley) had 30 assists and 10 digs; #8 Erin Butman (Jamestown) had 4 kills; #4 Ashley Butman (Jamestown) had 14 digs; and #3 Kaitlyn Hoth (Cherry Creek) had 8 digs.
