Jayhawks Offense Catches Fire

The JCC Jayhawks Men's Soccer Team (3-13-2) went on the road to face the Commodores of Lorain County College for the final game of the regular season.  As the first half came close to an end, the Jayhawks offense took flight.  A goal by #17 Emmanual Iheke (Buffalo), assisted by #11 Christian Fuentes (Brocton) put the Jayhawks up 1-0.  Shortly after, the Jayhawks scored again with a goal from #27 Jacob Turner (Randolph), assisted by #2 Arsel Muangara (Africa) to give the Jayhawks the 2-0 lead at half time.  The second half has not been kind to the Jayhawks this season where bad breaks and bad luck have unraveled their effectiveness as games came to a close.  This day there was to be no bad luck for the Jayhawks as they stayed after the Commodores on offense and scored again with a goal by #6 Hamish Antil (Australia), assisted by #10 Raymond Amborski (Westfield) to give the Jayhawks the 3-0 lead.  The Jayhawks were not done scoring as the combination of Antil and Amborski scored again to put the Jayhawks up 4-0.  Then shortly after the Jayhawks struck again with a goal by #15 Brandon Greiner (Bemus Point), assisted by #17 Emmanual Iheke (Buffalo) to put the game well out of reach and this proved to be the final goal as the Jayhawks downed the Commodores 5-0 .    On defense, the Jayhawks were led by goalie #16 Travis Fye (Jamestown) who recorded the shutout having 2 saves while facing 2 shots on goal.
