Jayhawks play tough in last home game

The JCC Jayhawks Men's Soccer Team (1-13-2) hosted the Kats of Erie Community College (11-4) for their last home game of the season.  Sophomores #3 Ben Roesser (Buffalo), #4 Andrew Ward (Falconer), #6 Hamish Antil (Australia), #11 Christian Fuentes (Brocton), and #17 Emmanual Iheke (Buffalo) were recognized before the game.  The Jayhawks played tough, as both teams failed to score a goal in the first half leading to a 0-0 tie.  The second half provided similar results as the first half with the game seeming destined for overtime.  But with a little less than 11 minutes remaining in the half, the Kats found the net.  This proved to be the difference as the Kats downed the Jayhawks 1-0.  On offense, the Jayhawks were led by #10 Raymond Amborski (Westfield) who had 4 shots on goal and by #3 Ben Roesser (Buffalo) who had 3 shots on goal.  On defense, the Jayhawks were led by goalie #8 Jordan Lymberis (Australia) who had 11 saves while facing 12 shots on goal.
