EDINBORO, Pa. – The Jamestown Community College cross country team competed at the Doug Watts Open Saturday morning, hosted by Edinboro University.

Freshman Joey Pillittieri (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) led the way for the Jayhawks, competing in the 8K. Pillittieri finished 70th with a time of 33:11.

Freshman Emma Redlecki (Clymer, NY/Clymer Central) competed in the 6K, tying for 62nd place. Redlecki finished with a time of 30:54.

The Jayhawks competed against NCAA DII schools such as Edinboro University, Gannon University, Lake Erie University, Mercyhurst University and Slippery Rock University, along with NCAA DI opponent St. Bonaventure University.

The Jayhawks will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Finger Lakes Community College for the Finger Lakes Invitational.
