Redlecki Named to Region III All-Region Team

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Community College’s Emma Redlecki was named NJCAA Region III All-Region after the Regional Championships this past Saturday at Finger Lakes Community College.

“All season long Emma has given nothing but her best,” said cross country head coach Sydney Beeman. “Every workout, practice, and meet she pushes herself and strives to be a better runner.”

Redlecki, the Clymer native, posted a time of 27:45.3 at the NJCAA Region III Championship meet which placed her fifth out of 11 runners on the day.

“I’m happy with her improvement this season and I can’t wait to have her on the team next season,” added Beeman. “She is an athlete I can count on to work hard and encourage her teammates down the road.”

With her improvements throughout the season, Redlecki saw her hard work payoff. During her freshman season for the Jayhawks, Redlecki posted five top-five finishes out of six races competed in.

Redlecki’s fastest time of the season came in her collegiate debut dawning the green and gold, posting a time of 27:31.04 at the Raider Classic hosted by Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

Redlecki will look to carry over her performance and another year of training into the 2021 season.
