The JCC Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div III, 17-4) traveled to Corning CC to participate in a POD tournament with their final opponent being the Red Barons of Corning Community College (NJCAA Div III, 19-4). Two evenly matched teams took to the floor but the Jayhawks fire power was too much for the Red Barons and the Jayhawks defense never allowed more than 18 points as they Jayhawks downed the Red Barons in 3 sets (25-16, 25-18. 25-18) for the 3-0 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #2 Destiney Portlow 's (Olean) 4 kills; #4 Ashley Butman 's (Jamestown) 5 kills, 3 aces, and 9 digs; #5 Carly Abbate 's (Ashville) 35 assists; #6 Alexis Terrette 's (Randolph) 11 digs; #9 Hannah Vezina 's (Lakewood) 17 kills; #10 Madison Alexander 's (Jamestown) 11 kills and 10 digs; and #12 Kayla Mansfield 's (Cherry Creek) 3 kills and 8 digs.
