The JCC Jayhawks (NJCAA Div III, 5-2) hosted a POD tournament and their first match was against the Generals of Herkimer College (NJCAA Div III, 0-5). The Generals played the Jayhawks well in the first set, but lost 25-16. The Jayhawks offense dominated after that, leading to two more set wins and not allowing double digit scores from the opposition (25-8, 25-6). The Jayhawks were led by #5 Carly Abbate 's (Panama) 21 assists and 3 kills, #10 Madison Alexander 's (Southwestern) 7 kills, 6 digs, and 3 aces; #4 Ashley Butman 's (Jamestown) 5 aces, 5 kills, and 5 digs; #9 Hannah Vezina 's (Southwestern) 4 kills and 3 aces; and #7 Danon Pischera (Falconer) had 4 aces and 4 digs.
