The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div. III, 19-7) went on the road to face off against the Pioneers of Butler County Community College (NJCAA Div. III, 15-10). The Jayhawks dominated the first two sets and looked to be on their way to an easy victory over the Pioneers. However, the Pioneers rallied with a strong showing in the third set. The Jayhawks took back control in the fourth set and won the contest 3-1 (25-15, 25-20, 15-25, 25-18). The Jayhawks were led by #5 Shannon Gunnell's (Falconer) 15 kills, 13 digs, and 4 aces; #1 Mandy Finch's (Randolph) 9 kills and 19 digs; #2 Kayleane Chase's (Randolph) 11 kills; #12 Cierra Farmer's (Randolph) 5 kills; #7 Kaitlyn Nye's (Cattaraugus) 32 assists and 11 digs; #6 Alexis Terrette's (Randolph) 4 aces and 4 digs; #3 Carly Abbate's(Ashville) 8 digs and 3 assists; #8 Kaylee Luce's (Kennedy) 6 digs; and #11 Katrina Kerkendall's (Colden) 4 digs.
