Jayhawks Women's Volleyball vs. SUNY Adirondack

The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div. III, 7-4) hosted the Timberwolves of SUNY Adirondack (NJCAA DIv. III, 8-2). The Jayhawks and Timberwolves went back and forth with the Jayhawks winning the first set (25-22) and the Timberwolves winning the second set (27-25). With the momentum still going from the second set, the Timberwolves remained strong and won the third set soundly (25-19). With the score 2-1, the Jayhawks seemed on the brink of defeat. However, the Jayhawks rallied and never looked back, dominating the Timberwolves in the fourth set (25-16). With the momentum now in their favor, the Jayhawks won the fifth set (15-6) to gain a 3-2 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #5 Shannon Gunnell's (Falconer) 17 kills and 19 digs, #1 Mandy Finch's (Randolph) 13 kills and 14 digs, #7 Kaitlyn Nye's (Cattaraugus) 40 assists, 26 digs, and 3 aces, #2 Kayleane Chase's (Randolph) 14 kills, 6 digs, and 5 blocks, and #8 Kaylee Luce's (Kennedy) 20 digs.
