The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div. III, 10-4) traveled to face the Lakers of Finger Lake Community College (NJCAA Div. III, 9-10). The Lakers and Jayhawks proved to be a good matchup as the Jayhawks won the first set (25-17) with the Lakers coming back to win the second set (25-28). The Lakers played the Jayhawks close, but the Jayhawks won the next two sets (25-21, 25-20) to preserve a 3-1 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #5 Shannon Gunnell's (Falconer) 22 kills, 13 digs, and 2 aces; #2 Kayleane Chase's (Randolph) 10 kills and 5 digs; #1 Mandy Finch's (Randolph) 9 kills, 15 digs, and 2 aces; #7 Kaitlyn Nye's (Cattaraugus) 41 assists and 12 digs; and #3 Carly Abbate's 13 digs and 2 aces.
