The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div. III, 16-7) traveled to Jefferson for tournament play and faced off against the Spartans of Cayuga Community College (NJCAA Div. III, 12-22). The Jayhawk offense dominated the Cougars and the contest, winning in consecutive sets (25-14, 25-13, 25-19) to give the Jayhawks a 3-0 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #5 Shannon Gunnell's (Falconer) 11 kills and 14 digs; #1 Mandy Finch's (Randolph) 10 kills and 9 digs; #2 Kayleane Chase's (Randolph) 6 kills and 3 blocks; #3 Carly Abbate's (Ashville) 6 aces and 9 digs; #7 Kaitlyn Nye's (Cattaraugus) 23 assists and 11 digs; #12 Cierra Farmer's (Randolph) 3 kills and 3 blocks; and 4 digs each by #8 Kaylee Luce (Kennedy) and #6 Alexis Terrette (Randolph).
