The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's volleyball team (NJCAA Div. III, 20-8) went to Mercyhurst University (NE) for the WNYAC Tournament and faced off first against the Kats of Erie Community College (NJCAA Div. III, 8-17). The Kats played the Jayhawks close in the first set, losing 25-21. However, the Jayhawks dominated the second match 25-15 to secure a 2-0 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #1 Mandy Finch's (Randolph) 10 kills and 10 digs; #2 Kayleane Chase's (Randolph) 7 kills and 3 aces; #3 Carly Abbate's (Ashville) 6 aces, 3 kills, and 5 digs; #9 Brandie Fuller's (Limestone) 3 kills and 7 digs; #7 Kaitlyn Nye's (Cattaraugus) 17 assists and 11 digs; and #6 Alexis Terrette's (Randolph) 6 digs.
