The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's soccer team (7-8, NJCAA Div. III) hosted the Kats of Erie Community College (3-10, NJCAA Div. III). Neither the Jayhawks nor the Kats could get their offenses on track, leading to a 0-0 tie at halftime. However, the scoring began in the second half as the Jayhawks jumped to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by #13 Kirstin Green (Panama), assisted by #25 Noni Wheeler (Australia). The Kats scored next to tie the game 1-1. ECC was not done scoring yet, and took a 2-1 lead with another goal. With time running out, the Jayhawks scored on a goal from Noni Wheeler, assisted by #21 Samantha Mann (Frewsburg), which tied the game at 2-2 and took the game into overtime.
Time expired on the first overtime period with a 2-2 tie on the scoreboard thanks in large part to the Jayhawk defense, led by goalie #20 Emily Means (Mayville), who clamped down on the Kats' offense. In the second overtime, Kirstin Green scored her second goal, assisted by #19 Tiffinni Keyes (Randolph), to give the Jayhawks a 3-2 victory.
