The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's soccer team (1-2, NJCAA Div. III) faced off against the Cougars of Clinton Community College (0-1, Div III). The Jayhawks attacked the net with 22 shots, scoring 4 goals while shutting down the Cougars' offense on route to a 4-0 victory. The Jayhawks were led by Samantha Mann (Frewsburg) who scored 3 goals (first goal assisted by Ellen Merchant (Jamestown), second goal unassisted, third goal assisted by Elizabeth Roosa (Randolph). Ellen Merchant scored a goal (assisted by Samantha Mann) that effectively put the game out of reach for the Cougars. The Jayhawks' defense smothered the Cougars' offense, allowing only 4 shots, led by goalie Tiffinni Keyes' (Randolph) one save. The Jayhawks' next game will be September 6, which will be the Jayhawks' home opener, hosting the Generals of Herkimer County Community College (1-0).
