Jan 18, 2020

JAMESTOWN - No. 13 Jamestown Community College wrestling team will look to get back in the win column tomorrow at the Ulster Quad, hosted by SUNY Ulster County Community College.

The Jayhawks (2-7) are coming off a 44-12 loss against Mercyhurst North East this past weekend. Seth MacTavish (174) got a win via forfeit on the night while Dan Torres (184) got a win over Draven Douglas. Torres was bumped up a weight class as he is the No. 1 wrestler in the 174-pound weight class.

Jamestown will first face Union County College, who will be competing in their first dual of the 2019-2020 season. Union County, a team from Region XIX, has only competed in the Wilkes Open held at Wilkes University earlier in the season.

JCC will then wrestle host SUNY Ulster to cap off their day. The Senators, a member of Region XV, have a season record of 1-4 on the season. Their lone win came against Keystone College, a member of NCAA Division III ranks.

Actions starts tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. inside The Senate Gymnasium.
