Jayhawks travel to Pitt.-Bradford for first dual of the season

JAMESTOWN - After a successful weekend at the Brockport Open, the Jayhawks wrestling team will compete in their first dual of the 2019-20 season.

JCC will travel to Bradford, Pa. where they will face NCAA DIII opponent Pitt.-Bradford. Dan Torres (174) will look to build of his impressive first outing of the season where he place first in his respective weight class at the Brockport Open.

The Jayhawks will also look to Joey Perry (141) and Max Willis (hwt.) to help carry the load. Perry went 4-1 at the Brockport Open, placing third in the 141 weight class. Willis was able to hold his own against the heavyweights. Willis was able to finish fourth, going 3-2 on the day.

The Panthers are coming of a sixth place finish at the Adrian Invitational this past weekend. Pitt.-Bradford had four wrestlers place with heavyweight Mitch Dowd finishing in third place. Eli Hernandez (133) was able to place fourth.

The match will begin at 6 p.m. at the Tom L. McDowell Field House.
