Jayhawks look to knock off No. 9 NCCC Wednesday evening

JAMESTOWN - After a tough weekend at the Ithaca Duals this past weekend, No. 19 Jamestown Community College wrestling team will have another tall task on Wednesday evening.

The Jayhawks (2-6) are coming off loses to Oswego State and No. 12 Ithaca College, teams that compete in the NCAA Division III ranks. Colten Studley (141) and Max Wills (HWT.) got the lone victories for Jamestown, both coming in the dual against the Lakers.

JCC will face No. 9 Niagara County Community College in Region III action. The Thunderwolves post a record of 4-0 with their most recent dual coming against Muskegon Community College. NCCC defeated MCC by a 36-15 score. The Thunderwolves most recent competition came in the Tunderwolves Open where they placed nine wrestlers, including the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the tournament, Christian Robinson (165).

Jamestown will look to end the 2019 portion of the season with an upset victory over NCCC. The teams battle it out tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
