Hohl's 19 points pushes the Jayhawks over Beaver County

Monaca, Pa. – Needing overtime, the Jamestown Community College women's basketball team defeated Community College of Beaver County Friday evening, 80-74.

 

The Jayhawks (7-7) were led offensively by Gabby Iuculano and Kayla Hohl with 19 points. Hohl played an important part in Jamestown's win, sparking the offense off the bench as she went 6-for-8 from the field including four made baskets from beyond the arc.. Marisa Schuppenhauer added 16 points with Linnea Jimerson chipping in with 11 points.

 

Jesse Zenns was a monster for the Jayhawks in the paint, grabbing 13 rebounds (4 offense, 9 defense) and rejected eight shots, a new career-high. Jimerson also had a good night on the glass, grabbing eight rebounds (3 offense, 5 defense).

 

JCC also took advantage at the charity stripe, going 19-for-23 (82.6 percent)

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they face SUNY Sullivan County Community College at 12 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex.
