Jayahwks fall on the road at Sinclair Community College

DAYTON, Ohio – The Jamestown Community College women's basketball team fell to Sinclair Community College, 91-63, Saturday afternoon at the Building 8 Arena.

 

The Jayhawks (4-5) were led offensively by Gabby Iuculano with 12 points with Abi Lisciandro adding 11 points. Iuculano and Linnea Jimerson were top rebounders for Jamestown, grabbing four rebounds each. Iuculano finished off her day with four assists as well.

 

The Tartan Pride shot 51.5 percent (35-for-68) from the field including 33.3 percent (8-for-24) from beyond the arc. The Jayhawks shot 34.4 percent (22-for-64) from the field including 34.4 percent (4-for-15) from beyond the arc. Jamestown did find success from the charity stripe, shooting 75.0 percent (15-for-20) while The Tartan Pride shot 65.0 percent (13-for-20)

 

Sinclair held the advantage on the boards, grabbing 48 rebounds to JCC's 33. Sinclair also held the edge in assists with 20 while Jamestown had 10.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action this Monday, December 16th, as they take on Villa Maria at 5 p.m. We ask that all spectators participate in wearing an ugly holiday sweater and/or hat. All participants will receive a complementary candy cane and hot chocolate. This will be the team's final home game in 2019.
