Iuculano drops a career-high 29 points in a win over Butler County

BUTLER, Pa. – The Jamestown Community College women's basketball team was able to continue their momentum on the road, picking up a 71-57 win over Butler County Community College.

 

The Jayhawks (4-4) were led offensively by Gabby Iuculano who hada career-high 29 points on the night, including three made three pointers. Iuculano also got her teammates involved throughout the game, dishing out six assists. Iuculano matched her offensive production on the defensive side, getting five steals.

 

Abi Lisciandro was second on the team in scoring, coming away with 12 points while Maris Schuppenhauer added 10 points. Schuppenhauer also had five steals while Lisciandro had four steals. Linnea Jimerson had a game-high 14 rebounds (6 offense, 8 defense) on the night.

 

Michaella Roth led the offense for the Pioneers, scoring 22 points with Casey Kretzer adding 14 points. Roth was close to a double-double, grabbing nine rebounds.

 

Jamestown out rebounded Butler, 36-32 whie having 19 assists to their nine. JCC was a force on the defensive end of the court, causing 29 turnovers.

 

JCC with be off until next Friday, December 13th, as they travel to Columbus State Community College for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
