Jayhawks 2nd Period Lapse Proves To Be The Difference

The JCC Jayhawks women's basketball team (4-6) went on the road to face the Pioneers of Butler County Community College.  Due to cancellations of other games due to weather, the Jayhawks previous game had been against this Pioneers team in which the teams played into overtime, so a competitive game was a certainty.  The first period saw the Jayhawks take a 16-15 lead.  The second period saw the Pioneers come back and go on a run to outscore the Jayhawks 20-12 in the period and take the lead at half time 35-28.  The third period saw both teams playing closer as the Jayhawks scored 10 to the Pioneers 13.  The fourth period was also closely contested with the Jayhawks scoring 13 to the Pioneers 16 leading to the Pioneers downing the Jayhawks 64-51.
