The third period saw the Panthers come roaring back, outscoring the Jayhawks 31-13 to make the game a 59-58 thriller. The 4th period saw the Jayhawks answer the call as they dropped 21 points on the Panthers to get their first win of the season 80-68. 3 pointers are beginning to become a staple in the Jayhawks offense as the Jayhawks shot almost 42% from beyond the arc, connecting on 10 3-pointers.
