The JCC Jayhawks women's basketball team (NJCAA Div II, 6-14) went on the road to face the Cougars of Genesee Community College (NJCAA Div II, 6-16). The Jayhawks and Cougars got off to an explosive first half with a combined 36 points (19-17 Jayhawks) in the first 10 minutes of play. The second half came to a close with the Cougars gaining a 2 point advantage (30-28). The Jayhawks regained the edge 42-40 and with 10 minutes remaining, both offenses exploded with a combined 47 points as the Jayhawks snapped an 8 game losing streak by downing the Cougars with a 67-62 come from behind win. The Jayhawks were led by #32 Alisha Szumigala 's (Forestville) double double of 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 blocks; #30 Natalie Houle 's (Sherman) 15 points (5-10 from beyond the arc); #4 Bianca Brown 's (Niagara Falls) double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds; #33 Brianne Davis ' (Bemus Point) 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists; #20 Sydney Wight 's (Wellsville) 4 points and 4 rebounds; and #11 Kaleigh Brunswick 's (South Dayton) 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
