Women's Basketball vs Niagara CCC

The JCC Jayhawks women's basketball team (NJCAA Div II, 5-13) hosted the Thunderwolves of Niagara County Community College (NJCAA Div II, 22-2.  Despite the mismatch on paper with Thunderwolves having won 19 out of their last 20 games and the Jayhawks trying to stop a 6 game losing streak, the first half saw a much closer matchup when the ball was tipped.  The Jayhawks matched the Thunderwolves point for point in the first 10 minutes of the game and the long 3 pointers of the Thunderwolves allowed them to take a 10 points lead (39-29) into the half.  The second half saw the Jayhawks offense fade as turnovers were converted quickly into points by the Thunderwolves and they continued to have success with their 3 points shots as the Thunderwolves downed the Jayhawks 76-49 .  The Jayhawks were led by #4 Bianca Brown 's (Niagara Falls) 12 points (including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc) and 3 rebounds; #11 Kaleigh Brunswick 's (South Dayton) 10 points and 3 assists; #32 Alisha Szumigala 's (Forestville) 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists; #30 Natalie Houle 's (Sherman) 7 points; and #22 Samantha Graham 's (New Zealand) 6 points.
