The JCC Jayhawks women's basketball team (NJCAA Div II, 5-8) hosted the Knights of Niagara College (Canada). The Jayhawks started out hot but then fell behind but rallied at the end of the first half to tie the Knights 26-26. The second half saw the Jayhawks lose momentum on turnovers and the Knights capitalized, outscoring the Jayhawks 36-21 on their way to a 62-47 victory. The Jayhawks were led by #32 Alisha Szumigala 's (Forestville) double double of 13 points and10 rebounds; #4 Bianca Brown 's (Niagara Falls) 10 points and 3 rebounds; #20 Sydney Wight 's (Wellsville) 9 points and 10 rebounds; #43 Kelsey Johnson 's (Panama) 8 points; and #33 Brianne Davis ' (Bemus Point) 4 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds.
