The JCC Jayhawks women's basketball team (NJCAA Div II, 1-2) made thier home debut as they hosted the Lakers of Lakeland Community College NJCAA Div II, 1-0). The Lakers offense was too much for the Jayhawks defense and the Jayhawks offense struggled as the Lakers took a 44-16 lead at the half. The Jayhawks offense did do better in the second half by scoring 30 points, but it was not enough as the Lakers downed the Jayhawks 85-46. The Jayhawks were led by #33 Brianne Davis ' (Bemus Point) 17 points and 4 steals; #$ Bianca Brown 's (Niagara Falls) 4 points; #30 Natalie Houle 's (Sherman) 6 points; #32 Alisha Szumigala 's (Forestville) 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks; and #43 Kelsey Johnson 's (Panama) 4 points.
