The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks women's basketball team (NJCAA Div. II, 7-0) hosted the Commodores of Lorain County Community College (NJCAA Div. III, 3-5) as part of the Tom D'Angelo Memorial Tournament. The Jayhawks dominated the Commodores early, leading to a 45-18 lead at half. The Commodores' offense made half time adjustments and kept pace with the Jayhawks, scoring 33 points to the Jayhawks' 34. However, the devastating of the first half could not be overcome and the Jayhawks secured the victory 79-51. The Jayhawks were led by #11 Elle Reed's (Sherman) 21 points; #21 Alex Sullivan's (Southwestern) 17 points and 3 rebounds; #20 Nakisha Saintval's (North Miami Beach) 12 points and 5 rebounds; #40 Corri Hannon's (Falconer) 8 points and 9 rebounds; #22 Lacey Clark's (Dunkirk) 6 points and 3 assists; #32 Alisha Szumigala's (Forestville) 6 points; and #24 Akiah Luceus' (Victory Collegiate) 5 points and 5 assists.
