Balling Hired as JCC's Softball Coach

     Jamestown Community College has announced the hiring of Kenneth Balling as its head women's softball coach. Balling comes to JCC with over 17 years of softball coaching experience at Cassadaga Valley Central School. During his tenure there, Balling compiled a resume which includes 10league titles, three section six titles, and 238 wins. Balling earned a bachelor's degree in forest biology at Syracuse University and a master's degree in education at Cornell University. Balling recently retired from teaching and coaching at Cassadaga Valley after 25 years as the school's technology teacher.

     Also joining the softball coaching staff is assistant coach Tabatha Stenstrom. Stenstrom, a member of the 2005 Falconer Central School state championship team, also played Division II softball on a scholarship while obtaining a degree in social services. Stenstrom has been a certified pitching coach for 16 years, specializing in internal rotation. She currently trains over 112 girls throughout the greater Chautauqua County area and every past student has gone on to play college softball.
