Jayhawks Pick Up Two Wins at the ECC Quad-Meet

BUFFALO - In their regular-season finale, the Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team went 2-1 on the day at the ECC Quad-Meet.

 

The Jayhawks (6-1, 5-0 WNYAC) got wins against Erie Community College, 94-56, and against NCAA Division III Medaille College, 85-54. The Jayhawks lone loss came against NCAA Division II Roberts Wesleyan College, 84-80.


Matthew Fennell (Fourways Garden, Johannesburg, South Africa/King Edwards VII School) also had personal bests in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:48.46) and in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:13.43).

 

Eathan Johnson (Panama, NY/Panama Central) had personal best in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:12.47) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:46.57).

 

Colby Pantall (Jamestown, NY/Maple Grove HS) posted personal best in the 100 yard freestyle (59.80) and in the 200 yard freestyle (2:12.16).

 

Jackson Vanstrom (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern High) posted personal bests in the 50 yard freestyle (28.07) and 1000 yard freestyle (12:45.59).

 

Maksat Mametjumayev (Sayat, Lebap, Turkmenistan/Ashgabat #19) showed improvement in the 100 yard freestyle, posting a new personal best of 1:43.94.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action next Saturday, April 10th, as they compete in the NJCAA Region 3 Swimming & Diving Championships.
