UTICA — Jamestown Community College scored first, but after that it was all Mohawk Valley CC in a 4-1 NJCAA Region 3 Division III men's soccer setback Saturday.
Nyle Bird put the Jayhawks on top at 19 minutes with his third goal of the year.
Mohawk Valley CC tied it up at 1-1 when Jamestown CC (0-4) accidentally scored into its own net with a mere four seconds left in the first half.
In the second half, Levi Jackson scored at 10 minutes and 36 minutes for a 3-1 lead. Kobie Shibata scored with five minutes left to wrap up the scoring,
Caden Blazek had five saves for Mohawk Valley CC while Nick Mole had 14 saves for Jamestown CC.
