
SANBORN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's basketball team had the game in the hands of Marcus Wynter in regulation, but his short jumper came drew iron in the 80-76 overtime loss.
The game was a seesaw battle throughout. Jamestown closed the halftime gap to just one point as they went to the break, down 34-33.
The teams exchanged jabs throughout the second half. Lackawanna went to take a late lead, but the Jayhawks's defense stood tall to give JCC one last possession in regulation.
Jamestown dribbled the clock down to the buzzer, where Wynters possible game-winner fell just short, and they went to overtime tied 72-72.
JCC couldn't buy a bucket in the extra period, being outscored 8-4 to drop the game 80-76.
Jamestown is now 1-7 on the year, with their last two losses being by a combined 13 points.
The Jayhawks finally open their home schedule when they host Garrett College on Saturday, November 23rd, at 3:00 PM.
