Jayhawks to face No. 8 SUNY Sullivan Saturday afternoon

JAMESTOWN - Possibly facing their toughest opponent to date on the season, the Jamestown Community College men's basketball team will face No. 8 SUNY Sullivan County Community College tomorrow afternoon.

The Jayhawks (7-6) are coming off a 90-72 win over Butler County Community College last Wednesday, a game where multiple players set new career-highs. Jordan Thomas scored a 31 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, both career-highs. Donathan Daniels dropped 25 points, setting a new career-high for the sophomore guard. Kyle Butler had a tremendous game distributing the ball, dishing out 10 assists.

Jamestown faces a Generals team that has come off two impressive wins last weekend. SUNY Sullivan knocked off a then No. 3 Niagara County Community College team 79-78 on Saturday and then knocked-off Monroe Community College on Sunday, 82-74.

The Generals are averaging 91.9 points per game in large part to Darius Lee averaging a team-high 18.7 points per game. Kendall Robinson is scoring at a clip of 15.6 points per game while Jasiah Lewis and Jordan Drain average 12 points per contest.

On the glass, SUNY Sullivan grabs 47.8 rebounds per contest, a plus 10 rebound margin. The Generals are led by Darius Lee who has eight rebounds per contest with Robinson grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game.

Tomorrow afternoon?s game will be played at the Monagan Court on the campus of Monroe Community College with a tip of 12 p.m.
