Jayhawks get back on track against Pitt-Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – The Jamestown Community College men's basketball were able to get back in the win column Thursday night, defeating Pitt-Titusville 90-77.

 

The Jayhawks (2-1) were led by Sheich Kourmora who provided 27 points off the bench. Kourmora went 9-for-12 from the field including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Kourmora added five more points from the free throw line. Jake Hougan continues to come into his own, registering his second career double-double. Hougan had 22 points and 11 rebounds (one offense, 11 defense)

 

Carl Jackson added 12 points to the cause, going 5-for-6 from the floor. Donathan Daniels had nine points with Kane Kenyon also adding nine points off the bench. Daniels too over the role of operating the offense as he finished with eight assists.

 

Jonathan Blumrick gave the Jayhawks more offensive possession throughout the night as he grabbed four offensive rebounds. Blumrick had seven total rebounds on the night. Kourmora also had seven rebounds on the night while Kenyon had six boards.

 

The Jayhawks next game will be this Saturday, November 9th, as the play against Montgomery College for their home opener at 5 p.m.
