JCC looks to get back on track against Pitt-Titusville

JAMESTOWN - JCC will look to get back in the win column tonight, as they take on Pitt.-Titusville.

The Jayhawks (1-1) split the opening weekend games at the WNYAC/MSAC Crossover Classic, defeating SUNY Broome Community College and falling to Corning Community College. Against Broome, JCC was able to edge them out, 71-68. Isaac Allen led the way with 18 points for JCC while Donathan Daniels added 11 points. Freshman big man Jake Hougan got his first career double-double, scoring 10 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Kyle Butler had an efficient collegiate debut, scoring seven points while dishing out seven assists. Jordan Thomas played great minutes off the bench for JCC, scoring 12 points and grabbing seven boards

On day two of the crossover classic, Corning was able to sneak past JCC with an 86-80 win. The Jayhawks found themselves down17 at half and as many as 31 points. Allen played a key role, scoring 43 points in the contest. Allen was nearly prefect form the free throw line, going 19-for 21. Hougan had another good game down in the post, scoring eight points and securing 11 rebounds. Thomas provided a spark off the bench again, adding eight points and eight boards.

Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
