Jayahwks to face a tough defensive team in Cuyahoga Community College on Saturday

JAMESTOWN - Coming off a narrow 87-80 defeat against Bryant and Startton-Buffalo, the Jamestown Community College men's basketball team will look to rebound this Saturday.

The Jayhawks (3-3) will face Cuyahoga Community College of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. The Triceratops are 3-2 on the year, winning their past three games.

In their last outing, JCC was led offensively by Isaac Allen who had a team-high 21 points with Jordan Thomas adding 19 points off the bench. Sheick Kourmora continues his hot hand, dropping 18 points including eight free throws made. Jashawn Robinson rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Jayhawks, scoring 10 points.

Jamestown is averaging 83.5 points a game while shooting just under 50 percent from the floor. JCC is also grabbing 41.8 rebounds per game with 33 rebounds coming on the defensive end.

Cuyahoga is a team that only averages 61.8 points a game but are very sound on the defensive end, only allowing 59.6 points per game.

The Jayhawks will have to slow down Dorian Crutcher who averages 14.8 points per game which leads the Triceratops. Cruther is joined by James Graham and Vincent Smalls, both averaging double-digits per game. Smalls is also rebounding 10.8 rebounds a game, giving him a double-double per contest.

Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. this Saturday at the Physical Education Complex.
