Jayhawks look to keep momentum on the road at Butler County

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Community College men-s basketball will look to keep their momentum going this Wednesday as they travel to Butler County Community College.

The Jayhawks (4-4) are coming off a 101-95 win over Lorain County Community College Monday night. JCC had all five of their starters score in double figures, led by Isaac Allen with 24 points. Ja'Shawn Robinson recorded his first collegiate double-double, scoring 19 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. Kourmora also surpassed 20 points on the night, scoring 21 points.

In the matchup, the Jayhawks shot 51.3 percent from the field (39-for-76) while shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc (7-for-20). Jamestown had a season-high 50 rebounds, up from their season average of 42.8 rebounds per contest.

JCC will face a Butler County team that is 2-7 on the season with their most recent game being a 102-94 win over Westmoreland. Butler has been prone to giving up their fair share of points, averaging 120 pointer per game allowed. JCC will look to take advantage of their defensive miscues.

The Pioneers will look to Jamir Carter to carry the load throughout the game as he has averaged 27.9 points per game. Andrew Yonker and Julian Sanks are both averaging around 15 points per contest. Yonker has been the lone presence in the paint when it comes to rebounding as he has grabbed 6.9 rebounds a game.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
