Thomas notched a double-double in a loss to Sinclair Community College

DAYTON, Ohio – The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team fell to Sinclair Community College, 96-76, Saturday afternoon at the Building 8 Arena.

 

The Jayhawks (5-6) were led offensively by Jordan Thomas who notched his first career double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Johnathan Bourne added 12 points with Ja'Shawn Robinson chipping in with 11 points. Jake Hougan and Sheick Kourmora had 10 points each, respectively. Carl Jackson added five assists for Jamestown.

 

Ryan Stowers had 34 points with Nate Ward adding 21 points for the Tartan Pride, respectively.

 

Sinclair shot 56.9 percent (37-65) from the field including 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from beyond the arc. Jamestown shot 45.1 percent (32-for-71) from the floor including 38.9 percent (7-for-18) from beyond the arc.

 

The Tartan Pride held the slight edge in rebounding, grabbing 40 boards to JCC's 36. Sinclair also held the advantage in assists with 19 to Jamestown's 16.

 

The Jayhawks will close out their three-game road trip this Wednesday, December 18th, as they travel to Lorain County Community College for a 7 p.m. tip. This will be the team's final game of the 2019 portion of the season.
