The JCC Jayhawks (NJCAA Div II, 15-2) hosted the Kats of Erie Community College (NJCAA DIv II, 7-7). The Kats played the Jayhawks closely in the beginning of the first half but as the first half came to a close, it was obvious the Jayhawks were in the zone as they took a commanding 48-29 lead. The Jayhawks dominated the seconds half, being up by more than 40 points when the reserve players for the Jayhawks were put into action. The Kats did not let up but the Jayhawks outscored them 55-49 in the second half to secure a 103-78 Jayhawks victory. The Jayhawks were led by #24 Rakim Lesane 's (Coney Island) 25 points (including going 10-11 from the floor and 5-6 from beyond the arc), 6 rebounds, and 4 assists; #22 Samuel Joseph 's (Brooklyn) 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals; #21 Kyle Taylor-Mcleggan 's (Harlem) 19 points; #4 Michael Bush 's (Harlem) 8 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds; #40 Brian Roberts ' (Cleveland) 6 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks; and #33 Cody Johnson 's (Sinclairville) 5 points and 3 rebounds.
