The Jayhawks men's basketball team (NJCAA Div II, 4-0) went on the road for the Owens Tip Off Classic Tournament to face the Express of Owens Community College (NJCAA Div II, 1-2). The first half saw the Express offense begin to pull away from the Jayhawks, taking a 16 point lead at the half. But it turns out that the Jayhawks offense was just getting warmed up as the Jayhawks rallied, scored 57 second half point on route to a 90-86 Jayhawks win. The Jayhawks were led by #24 Rakim Lesane 's (Coney Island) 25 points and 4 rebounds;#21 Kyle Taylor-Mcleggan 's (Harlem) 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals; #22 Samuel Joseph 's (Brooklyn) 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals; #4 Michael Bush 's (New York City) 12 points and 5 rebounds; #32 Brandon Kemp 's (Brooklyn) 9 points and 11 rebounds; and #15 Dimitri Jarrett 's (Brooklyn) 9 points and 3 rebounds.
