The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks men's basketball team (NJCAA Div. II, 12-7) hosted the Tribunes of Monroe Community College (NJCAA, Div II, 17-2). The Jayhawks and Tribunes squared off in what quickly became a defensive battle. The Tribunes took a 33-24 lead over the Jayhawks at the half. While both teams made adjustments and the offensive improved, both defenses reminded stingy, leading to a low scoring 73-58 victory by Tribunes. The Jayhawks were led by #34 Ohndo Smith's (Manhattan) 28 points and 8 rebounds; #4 Chris Van Buren's (Brooklyn) 14 points and 7 assists; #33 Kamal Nelson's (Brooklyn) 6 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds; #30 Aleksander Peck's (West Ellicott) 6 points and 5 rebounds; and #21 Dimitri Jarrett's (Brooklyn) 6 rebounds.
