The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks men's basketball team (NJCAA Div. II, 10-3) traveled to face the Lakers of Lakeland Community College (NJCAA Div. II). After a high scoring first halfthat saw the Lakers take a 54-46 lead, both defenses made adjustments that slowed their opponents down. However, the Lakers still held the offensive advantage and downed the Jayhawks 98-85. The Jayhawks were led by #4 Chris Van Buren's (Brooklyn) 29 points and 3 rebounds; #33 Kamal Nelson's (Brooklyn) 14 points and 6 rebounds; #20 Jaleel Gary's (Bronx) 12 points and 7 rebounds; #34 Ohndo Smith's (Manhattan) 11 points and 9 rebounds; #21 Dimitri Jarrett's (Brooklyn) 9 points and 4 rebounds; and #10 Kasean Jackson's (Brooklyn) 8 points and 4 rebounds.
