The JCC baseball team faced a difficult task last week in two double headers played against Finger Lakes C.C. This series would serve as a good measuring stick for the Jayhawks to see where they stack up against one of the best teams in NJCAA region three play this year. Unfortunately, this time around for the Jayhawks, the Lakers would go onto to win the series (4-0). "They are as advertised" said head coach for JCC Matthew Cummings when questioned about the performance. The Jayhawks would see improvement in the second double header at home with flashes of great defensive plays and more consistent at bats. However, in the end, Finger Lakes would prove to be too much. With a quick turnaround matchup against Onondaga C.C. this weekend, there is still plenty of opportunity for the Jayhawks to prove their merit on the diamond moving forward. Jamestown C.C. will look to get back on track this Saturday and Sunday at Onondaga C.C.
