The JCC Jayhawks men's baseball team (NJCAA Div III, 10-29) hosted the Kats of Erie Community College (NJCAA Div III) in double header action for their final game of the season.  The game seemed locked in a pitching duel as the first 2 innings left the game a 0-0 tie.  The top of the 3^rd inning saw the Kats jump out to a 4-0 lead.  However, that lead was cut in half by the Jayhawks in the bottom of the 2^nd inning when the Jayhawks scored 2 runs.  The Jayhawks tied the score 4-4 when they scored 2 more runs in the 4^th inning.  The teams then got locked back into a defensive battle with no runs scored in the 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th inning to send the game into extra innings.  With the bases loaded, the Jayhawks batter was hit by a pitch sending the winning run home as the Jayhawks rallied to down the Kats 5-4.  The Jayhawks offense was led by #15 Connor Fitzgerald (Ontario) who crushed a home run as part of his 2 hits, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI game; #4 Justin Forster (East Otto) and #8 Michael Keller (Clarence) each had 2 hits and scored 1 run; and #21 Robbie Burgess (Westfield) had 2 hits.  The Jayhawks pitching was led by #10 Michael Williamson (Cuba) (2-5) who faced 36 batters while allowing 7 hits, 3 earned runs, and struck out 4 batters. 

The second half of the double header saw the Jayhawks positive energy from the previous game carry forward.  The Jayhawks scored 2 runs in the 1^st inning and 2 runs in the 2^nd inning to take a 4-0 lead.  The Jayhawks had the Kats number on this day as that was the last scoring that would take place as the Jayhawks closed out the season with back to back wins, downing the Kats 4-0.  The Jayhawks offense was led by #5 Kyle Mayer (Mayville) who had 2 hits; #18 Michael Wilcox (Falconer) had 1 hit and 2 RBI's; #21 Robbie Burgess (Westfield) had 1 hit, scored 1 run, and 1 RBI; and #24 Noah Whalen (Buffalo) and #2 Cam Haberberger (Jamestown) each had 1 hit and scored 1 run.  The Jayhawks pitching was led by the pin point accuracy of pitcher #18 Michael Wilcox (6-6) who faced 29 batters during his shutout performance, only allowing 6 hits while striking out 3 batters.
